I was listening to Talulah Gosh in the car this morning and got to thinking about songs which are named after the band who plays them. Talulah Gosh had a song called Talulah Gosh, but I can only think of one other off the top of my head which is Slowdive by, of course, Slowdive.

In both instances it's a genuine song where the name of the band features in the lyrics, as opposed to something abstract which they decided to name after themselves. Can anyone come up with any other examples of this?

I can think of two off the top of my head:

Bad Company
Black Sabbath

This will give me something to think about during my afternoon's digging.

I was looking for purely identical titles - I'd ruled out "God Save The Queen" by Queen for example, and I think the official title of the Monkees song is "(Theme From) The Monkees". Saying that, In A Big Country does seem to fit the spirit if not the letter of the "rules"!

I wonder what usually comes first - the band name or the song? Slowdive was the band's first single...

Oy I already did Bad Company. Nice to see another selection from Starless that I've never heard of.

The only thing I thought of after my initial inspiration was

Angelic Upstarts - I'm An Upstart.

Don't think it counts though
