Charlie died this morning. I'm so upset, I can't write any more. He was waiting for bypass surgery. Bloody NHS not treating him sooner.

Yes I heard the news Wednesday evening. Like you I'm very upset by this, Charlie was such a lovely fellow - and in my mind, one of the very few British music pundits who really knew what he was talking about.
I had considered starting a thread about Charlie, but then thought it wasn't really his style - and I'm not up to it at this moment in time. Perhaps over the coming weeks we might be able to create some kind of modest tribute to Charlie on here.
