Any ZZ Top* fans out there..? They're currently playing in the bull ring about 200 yds away and, to be honest widger, as far as this owld scrote is concerned - I wish it was 200 miles away!
Happy to say I can't name a single record they've ever made.
Could be a Daily Mail story this - Foreign pensioners keep our ex-pat pensioners awake!

Love their rocking/blues/boogey stuff and Billy Gibbons is a top man. He commisioned a guitar to be made from a plank of cypress wood from Muddy Water's shack (which still stands) and donated it to the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale. And I think they had alot to do with raising money to have the museum built.

I've got a good little interview with John Lee Hooker from around the time of ZZ's commercial period, and the interviewer asks him what he thinks about people using his stuff, as ZZ had had a hit in the US with La Grange which was just a single chord Hooker boogey, and he got very angry which kick started the Hooker stutter "I s s said....I'm g g g gonna g go up to H H Houston, see them m m m m mothers....."
