MISSING - PLEASE SHARE

This is Carol Sheridan. She was last seen on Sunday 27th October in Habere Poche, Rhone Alpes, France. There has been no contact from her since. She was driving a black Fiat Panda 4x4 registration AZ 522 AP.

The attached photo is the one that Fiona, her daughter has asked be shared on Facebook.

Here's the French poster for anyone who can circulate it further.

That's great, Bayleaf. Ideally it needs to be circulated in garages, Mairies, post offices, supermarkets - anywhere where people pass or visit.
Given Carol's age, she should be considered a vulnerable person (I know she'd hate that !!!) and I just hope that she is found soon ....

I wonder if she used to take survival equipment with her when she went off walking? ie extra clothes, food etc.

When she got lost for hours last time (see demi's post) mane of us told her she must always have her phone, a ceral bar and a banana and water with her. I think she was more careful since then. But sometimes she went out for a short walk, then got carried away to go further, higher... so no idea.

It might also be worth contacting local flying clubs - including hang-gliding, gliding, montgolfier etc - in case anyone can spot the car from the air (if the Gendarmes won't send up a helicopter).

Does anyone here work for Credit Agricole, and know who to get into contact to get her credit card and account checked- can one do so without being family? Maybe the police could.

That's one of the jobs the police do when checking on a missing person. The bank will not give out confidential information to anyone other than them at the moment.

I tried to phone her local branch, but of course it is closed for La Toussaint! Was going to ask them to check and report back to the Gendarmerie in Lulin-Boège. Will pass them the info that she banked with CA.

No they are not- and most French supermarkets are not either. She often goes for a big shop in Annemasse- but most if not all are closed on a Sunday. She may well have decided to go for a walk on a whim, and got caught out by the clock/time changing, and the light falling earlier than anticipated. Remember another time when she got lost she had to use the light on her mobile phone to find her way through very wild and dangerous terrain- then ring the bell of a house and ask to be driven around until her car was found.

There is now an article in the local Hull paper:

http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/articles/n ... e/20019262

I don't do twitter, but on another forum people are being asked to tweet this article - especially in the direction of places like The Daily Mail (am sure Carol would forgive this).

So if you tweet........... could you pass it on.

Has now been tweeted to over 75,000 thanks to some big names who agreed to Retweet.
5,000 of those are French based.
