indeed i yam. got a "new"' 'pooter a couple of months ago and am gradually catching up with the now no longer bookmarked sites. i seem to have got logged in successfully anyway. B-)

i went up to the volkswrecks place in st.sulpice on saturday and was going to give you a ring but it ended up being nearly 10pm before i left there. i had a look at your village before going back towards st.croix but couldn't even find the church, tis a bigger place than i remember! :o

i'd thought to spend the night somewhere up the mountain but all those wee forest tracks have fairly recent " access interdit" signs now so i ended up going to yvonand for a midnight stroll on the beach and then home...........

catch you another time. ;-)

So we crossed paths - we went to Fribourgland (Chatel sous Montslavens next to Charmey above Bulle) and returned on Monday via Yvonand! And you were just down the road where we live- hope you enjoyed the day. Possibly you had a look for the Church in my native village, and not the village up the road where we now live (and the Church is in the hamlet next to the Douanne, with us just behind). Anyway - perhaps one day. Plenty of space behind our house for a VW bus.

Swissie, hope you get a response from Oorwullie.
One of my French friends, established now in the sunny coastal lowlands of Charente-Maritime, absolutely loves the Jura and she and her husband go there every winter for the the cold, crisp snow, clean air and just to 'drink it in'. Being as wide as she is tall, she isn't very sporty! She has described the peace and pristine beauty of the area so, I think you must be very lucky to have a home there.

Hi Sue - as you know I was born and bred here- so the Jura is a special place for me. If your friends come over, send me a pm so we can meet them if they wish. It does get very cold, but it is so bright and pristine- love it in winter.

Oorwullie pm on its way.
