I just spent the weekend in Epernay with my camper van and a book of Cheques Dejeneur.

Did you manage to get just along the road to l'Epine? Fine Gothic church and the hotel/restaurant
Aux Armes de Champagne. I haven't been there in years but it used to be superb food and wine list
and had an excellent collection of stoves.
