Hi everyone, I just thought I'd get the ball rolling and welcome the Languedoc dwellers amongst us. Good luck to the new France forum and all who sail in her!

Well here nt Carcassonne it's lovwly all the time! No high winds, only rains between 3 & 6 in the mornings! Oh sorry there, getting a bit mixed up. I was thinking of Camelot, but I suppose that it does start with the same letter? :ugeek:

I must agree with Tilly and roll on summer, but at least the winters here are short even if they are cold.

Peyriac-Minervois, 25 kms NW of Carcassonne. Looks like the winds are back tonight after 3 lovely sunny days.

Hi from Les Matelles, 15km N of Montpellier (where we are hoping to move - if we can sell up here!).

Well, I worked in the garden almost all day yesterday and at lunchtime it was still very cold - 7° to be exact.

I have lived in Roquefort de Sault, high in the mountains past Axat, and also at St. Cyprien Plage, on the coast near Argeles. If you want to use a local forum as well as this, try Anglophone-direct. - the members are almost all very friendly and helpful and a couple of them post on here as well.
I hope eventually to be able to buy a small studio at Vernet les Bains, but I think it will just have to be for holiday use as I will probably have to stay in England to care for my daughter and her children.
