Copied from Easytravel

"French air traffic controllers will strike Wednesday, July, 21. Strike will start Tuesday evening July, 20 and end Thursday morning, July, 22. The Direction Generale de L'Aviation Civile (DGCA) will decide on Monday evening July, 19 which flights will be cancelled. Expect more strikes in September. Expect usual delays in/out of Paris airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly."

Serious disruption is expected across France from this evening (50% of flights cancelled at DdG), with return to normal not expected before sometime on Thursday.

Why is it that France only has airports CdG and Orly!! What about Blagnac -- never anything in the press or on line or on TV????

...or Montpellier, Beziers, Nimes, etc., etc. Beziers just advise you to contact their info desk, or consult the Ruinair site (a mine of useful information, as usual  ). The problem appears to be that no one has much of a clue which flights will be affected.

10 flights to Montpellier cancelled tomorrow (21st). Easyjet are cancelling flights to several French airports on 21/7(see http://holidays.easyjet.com/FlightCheck/flightdepartures.aspx?lang=en and fill in departure airport). Ryanair are still accepting bookings for French destinations on the 21st, not that that means anything!

Ryanair have now started to cancel flights on the 21st (Luton-Beziers was the one of interest to us). Managed to re-book for the 22nd.
