I am very pleased to report that I rode LILI for the very first time and possibly the last time today as she so very obviously doesn't like men on her back, but at least whilst I was on her it did give Wondrous the opportunity of sitting on Jimmy for a short period of time for the first time as well.

Why will it be possibly my last time on her back, well although LILI has now muscled up enormously and is generally as strong as an OX, she is also more than somewhat pig headed and so she needs the assertive hands of Wondrous and not my "oh let it go" style, I am also slightly heavy for her bone size.

However the short ride that Wondrous had on Jimmy on my saddle was enough for her to demand that I need to get it re-stuffed, no not the horse side of the saddle but the side my tender parts are deposited on.

So, one and all, who would you recommend in the Dordogne or adjacent areas to carry out the stuffing?

BJ - have you thought of a seat saver i.e. something you put on top of the saddle rather than trying to change the shape of the top which may affect the fit ?
The Heather Moffat one seems to be very well thought of (you'll have to do an internet search ....)

What a star you are Blaze.

Wondrous found one on the internet last night but the link you found is for exactly the same item at a good few pounds less.

One is being ordered for my slightly bruised bum today !!!

The Heather Moffet seat saver is without doubt the one of choice.

I would steer well clear of some advertised on ebay at the princely sum of £9.99 as they are absolutely rubbish (I would prefer to say c*#p but I don't wish to upset anyone).
As normal the old thing of 'Caveat Emptor' applies.

Heaven, my bum is in heaven and that goes for the dangly bits as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Blaze for the link to equishopping, what a brilliant service, ordered Monday afternoon delivered Saturday morning and this morning, well after one of our usual rides which had formerly left my nethers feeling decidedly second hand, this time though............. bliss!

This saddle pad is now very highly recommended

Thank you for the graphic detail, BJ ;))

I'm glad the link was helpful and that you found a suitable pad that has done the job. It's also nice to hear that their service was so good.
Which pad did you get ?

Oh dear Blaze have I been told off by my most Wondrous!!

Yes the saddle pad is brilliant, but I was woefully wrong about the company we purchased it from.

The link given to equishopping did result in us looking at their site, it clearly showed the Hether Moffet pad for sale at a very interesting £44.99, but when when we clicked onto the "Go to shop" tab the price was exactly £10 more expensive so we phoned them to point out the error and were met by a very short reply and absolutely no offer to honour to sell us one at the advertised price, so we looked elsewhere. [interestingly enough, within less than an hour of us informing them of their error, their website had been corrected]

Our search came up with one at a similar price as being offered by equishopping by http://www.countrysupplies.com/ and that was where we bought it from and their service could not have been better or more professional.

So from our first experience of http://www.countrysupplies.com/ I honestly do feel they can be safely recommended.
