Post subject: Perhaps A Small Collection Later.

It is now 02h14 and I have just finished (well, a short while ago) The Blue Lamp. Tried to watch The Guinea Pig but have now foundYield To The Night.

Was thinking that at some point would like to constitute a collection of British films from say 1945 to 1980, nothing grand, just a few that I think represent their time, like The Jokers 1967 or The Knack . . . . And How To Get It 1965 or The League Of Gentleman 1960 (and Nigel Patrick is such a charmer). Almost anything with Irene Handl in. Get Carter 1971. Sunday Bloody Sunday 1971 . . there are loads, a lot I have already seen (rainy winter Saturday afternoons in the flat, nothing better than watching an old(ish) film. Others I am lead to see because of a story, an actor or actress, director or whatever. The Ruling Class, 1972 (Arthur Lowe is excellent). School For Scoundrels 1960 - Peter Jones as Dudley and Dennis Price as Dunstan selling that terrible car . . . excellent.

If you were to constitute a modest collection what films would you go for, period, type etc . . .
