I've been wracking my brain and can't remember it.

About 8 years ago, a film (french) set in the Auvergne, a sort of docu-film, about a small school and it's teacher/pupils.

Every time I pick up the girl I child mind from school in the one-class small village school with the church bells ringing mid-day i think of this film and I'd really like to watch it again, but my braincells won't recall the name of it. Anyone remember?

It wasn't one of the "L'Instit" series, was it ? He goes about the country as a replacement teacher - always wears the same blue shirt and black jeans and rides a motorbike. Good series.

Yes, that's the one.
It's a documentary.
Primary school teacher in a tiny rural school - all the classes grouped together in one.
Excellent!

Yes, that's the one. You can download it "Legally" for 3,99€ here http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefilm-3 ... arger-vod/

Thank you for reminding me. It caused quite a controversy at the time with the parents of the children claiming actors rights etc.

Yes, it was well made that film.
There was another good one that came out the following year - Les Choristes.. Worth searching out if you haven't seen it.

"Les Choristes" was brilliant - Gerard Jugnot is superb. He was also brilliant in "Monsieur Batignole"

Loved that film, it was so sweet. It might have even been another unconscious push towards the move here,
