No, Balham. I loved him in the wonderful 'Princess Bride'. A small part, but perfect

I have no shame, I am a Columbo nut :-bd .

What I typed elsewhere:

This is a brilliant site The Columbo Site.

Lt Columbo actually dates from about 1960 in The Chevy Mystery Show, first played by Bert Freed.

The episodes from 1971 to 1978 pruduced for Universal City Studios. The pilot (if I remember rightly) was in 1967 "Prescription Murder" but the 'series' didn't start till later.

There was another pilot in 1971, "Ransom for a Dead Man".

One of my fave episodes, "Identity Crisis" 1975, really quite a dark epsiode.

"Sex and the Married Detective" (1989) was just class!

"Rest in Peace, Mrs. Columbo" (1990) was quite sad!

Someone once said that Peter Falk could have been a great actor if it wasn't for Columbo, but to be known the world over because of a successful series of films, that can't be too bad . . . can it?

I was saddened to read that just prior to his death he didn't know he was (or had played - however you look it) Columbo.

Worth watching;
Peter Falk & John Cassavetes - 1972.

To be honest Balham, I didn't even know Peter Falk's real name but I've watched quite a few episodes of Columbo over the past couple of years and I've been fascinated and amused by them.

I followed your link to Youtube then looked at a few others and I've just watched this excellent clip :

I've saved the page and I'll have a better look tomorrow. ;)

That was excellent. Often Columbo sort of persuaded the killer to give themselves away in such a manner, the was a very good epsiode with Dick Van Dyke where Columbo trapped him in this manner

This is hilarious, totally excellent.

The only time ever that an indication was given to the first name of Mrs Columbo is in this vid.

A phenomenal actor and twice nominated for an Academy Award back when you actually had to have the chops to get a nomination.

Loved him best in the Princess Bride.
