Hi,

Have anyone heard or used this Company http://removalstofrance.co.uk

The company is called Compass we have had a good search on sites etc seem to have good feed back. We have had a good quote from them. Just so nervous trusting someone with all you life time of possession.

Thanks

V

Hi mrman64 - and a warm welcome to the forum !

It's always a worry when choosing a removal company if you haven't moved for some time or if you are moving somewhere different.

It's worth looking on different forums to see sho people recommend. A lot of us on this forum have been here some time so may not be of much help but you never know !

Are you moving from the UK to France or the other way around ? Insurance for all your worldly good is vital and you need to check the small print carefully to see what the exclusions might be.

If you have read good write-ups about Compass, and had a good quote from them, then you need to think about how you felt dealing with them personally. Did they inspire you with confidence ? Or did they seem a bit over-confident ? We have found this a couple of times when they under-estimated the amount of space needed !

Hi Blaze,

Thanks you.

We have not moved for about 30 years plus it's shocking some the stories you read about some of these moving companies.

We are moving to France from the UK. Out of the 3 companies we have taken a likening to Compass and they tick all the boxes and there is some good feed black on difrent sites. But you do still worry as once the lorry is loaded that's your life on there lorry. think it may just be be and my wife are worrying to much.

Yes you are correct about the insurance tbh they have been spot on sent us forms for insurance which one company didn't. One of the things we like is there a family company. But still we worry think we just old fashioned the last move when down was 4 miles from our old home .

Thanks for takeing the time to reply

V

The only thing I would suggest is that anything that is really precious to you, you take with you yourselves. But I'm sure you will have thought of that already !

Don't forget to keep things handy like kettle, cutlery, tea, coffee etc - all removal men like to be well-watered !
